Daniel Bett, National Microsoft Solutions Lead, shares the story behind a flood management solution designed to get critical, real-time information into the hands of remote communities. The system helps coordinate timely actions—like safely transporting children or managing emergency services—based on river levels. Despite financial constraints, the team developed a simple, repeatable Power App that was inspired a gaming app Daniel had created for his son. The tool allows emergency services to easily visualize locations, manage schematics, and respond faster to unfolding situations. At its core, the solution is about people—not just technology—and engineering a smarter, safer future together.  

When every second counts, frontline police officers can’t afford to lose time on paperwork. In collaboration with a leading Australian law enforcement agency, Daniel Bett - National Microsoft Solutions Lead and the Microsoft solutions team created a powerful, scalable task management system using Microsoft Power Apps and Azure SQL. Replacing manual whiteboards and logbooks with a real-time mobile experience, the solution helps constables and sergeants stay focused, informed, and ready for action—now and into the future.

For over a decade Akkodis has been helping PS&J organizations navigate the complexities of their work. This case study outlines the TGA AusUDID Project, a national initiative to implement a Unique Device Identification (UDI) system that improves medical device traceability, safety, and regulatory compliance.

In partnership with Akkodis, the project focuses on building the UDI system, educating stakeholders, and supporting healthcare compliance by 2030.

The National Interoperable Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NINDSS) is a transformative digital health initiative led by the Australian Department of Health, Disability and Ageing and was delivered in partnership with Akkodis.

In partnership with Health, Akkodis designed, built and implemented a new cloud based NINDSS platform to replace the ageing NINDSS. NINDSS provides a modern, scalable solution for disease surveillance nationally.
